    About the program

    The National Youth Disability Leadership Program is an opportunity for young people with disability to develop leadership skills and knowledge. Participants will also connect with a network of engaged young people, disability advocates and industry leaders.

    Participants in the program will learn about:

    • setting leadership goals based on your values
    • disability rights and justice principles
    • how to lead the way on systemic change
    • managing burnout

    You will also have access to mentors and tailored 1:1 support throughout the program.

    This program will support YOUR leadership ambitions, skills and interests, whatever they may be!

    Where is the program held?

    The program is completely online! You can take part from anywhere in Australia.

    Who is the program for?

    The program is for young people with disability between 18 and 25 years of age. We are looking for participants who aspire to become future leaders. No matter what your background or experience is with leadership, this program is for you!

    When will the program happen?

    The program takes place between August 2022 - February 2023 with 10 x weekday afternoon sessions and 4 x "Wisdom Weekends". 

    Our Wisdom Weekends - where participants will work and learn together and engage in professional and personal development activities, presentations, and networking - will take place from 10am to 4pm AEST (both days) on:

    • Saturday 27 August and Sunday 28 August 2022
    • Saturday 1 October and Sunday 2 October 2022
    • Saturday 12 November and Sunday 13 November 2022
    • Saturday 21 January and Sunday 22 January 2023

    All other sessions will take place on a Tuesday between 4pm – 6pm (exact dates to come).  

    Note: To be selected for the program, you must be available for all the Wisdom Weekend dates, and to be a successful graduate, 85% attendance is required across the entire program.
