Starting school, landing a job, or accessing a new service – life’s big moments can be daunting. But having the right information can help you or your kids take charge of change with confidence.
Following the success of our first wave of Take Charge of Change, we’re recruiting 40 new young people with disability, parents, and caregivers to help design practical resources for navigating life’s turns.
Who can apply?
We are seeking people to join one of four co-design groups:
- Parents and caregivers of children with disability aged 0–7 years
- Parents and caregivers of children with disability aged 8–12 years
- Young people with disability aged 13–17 years
- Young people with disability aged 18–25 years
Each group will include 10 participants. No previous co-design experience is needed.
To ensure a wide range of experiences, we can only accept one participant per family.
If you support more than one child with disability, please base your expression of interest on your youngest child with disability.
What is involved?
- Participating in 6 online co-design meetings
- Each meeting is 2 hours
- Meetings will be held online via Zoom
- You will be paid for each meeting you attend
- You will work with other co-designers and CYDA staff to shape new resources
