Children with Disability Australia is pleased to be able to contribute to this inquiry. Any examination of Australia’s education system and how to create value must include the experience of students with disability. The present Australian education system does not adequately meet the needs of students with disability and education remains one of the most significant issues of concern for these children and their families.
We would like to acknowledge the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the diverse lands from which we work, and pay our respects to their Elders and their connection to land, sea and community. Sovereignty was never ceded and this always was, and always will be, Indigenous Land.
