CYDA joins 16 other Disability Representative Organisations (DRO) in endorsing this joint submission on the consultation on draft lists of NDIS Supports. 

DROs believe the draft lists in their current form will cause significant harm to people with disability and are completely out of step with the spirit and intent of the NDIS.

In this submission, CYDA supports an alternative to the lists and outline a principles-based approach instead.

We urge the government to:

1. Adopt a principles-based approach
2. Provide an extension for consultation
3. Provide clarity and assurances on exceptions and reviewable decisions
