Registration for Platform Providers must preserve existing features of Platforms that offer greater choice and control to NDIS participants, while also ensuring quality and safety.
In this submission, CYDA provides concrete ways the NDIS Commission can implement registration while promoting flexibility, choice and control, and safety and quality.
These include:
- Supporting Platforms to continue offering unique and innovative channels to tailor services and provide continuity of care
- Creating clear yet flexible registration for Platform Providers that embeds safety while enabling choice and control by attracting and keeping diverse workers
- Making sure communication from the NDIS Commission and Platform Providers about registration changes is effective and accessible
We also highlight the specific need for Platforms in regional and remote locations where there is less choice for supports.
Our suggestions are focused on ensuring a smooth transition to registration for Platforms, providers, workers, and participants.
