In August and September 2025, CYDA surveyed 1535 children and young people with disability, and parents or caregivers, about their thoughts on Thriving Kids.
The program was announced by NDIS Minister Mark Butler in August as a targeted Foundational Support for autistic children and those with developmental delay under nine.
In its submission to the Parliamentary Inquiry on Thriving Kids, CYDA included:
- A set of recommendations based on lived experience
- A factsheet presenting key findings from the survey
It was endorsed by 15 disability and peak organisations.
