CYDA’s submission to the NDIS Evidence Advisory Committee consultation

The NDIS Evidence Advisory Committee provides advice to the government on which disability supports should be funded under the Scheme.

In March 2026, CYDA made a submission to the EAC’s consultation focused on early behavioural supports, positive behaviour support and social skills supports for children and young people.

We echoed calls from children and young people with disability, and their families or caregivers, for all such supports to respect their rights, strengths and individuality.

We recommended that the government:

Ultimately, NDIS supports must always be safe, inclusive and grounded in the rights and lived experiences of children and young people with disability.
