Long-term investment in Australia’s education, employment, and disability support ecosytems is needed to embed equity and inclusion for children and young people with disability.
In CYDA’s Pre-Budget submission for 2026-27, we call for the Australian government to support children and young people with disability by investing in:
- Truly inclusive education
- A fair, safe and accessible disability support ecosystem, including NDIS and non-NDIS
- Addressing barriers to employment, including those related to cost of living issues
- Sector sustainability through funding coordination, capacity building, and targeted support for diverse groups
