In early 2026, CYDA released Snapshot of Children and Young People with Disability in Australia – a Key Statistics Report.
It brings together the latest available data from a wide range of sources to provide a national overview of the diverse experiences, needs, and circumstances of children and young people with disability in Australia.
As a central resource that will be updated regularly, the report aims to improve data visibility, understanding and accessibility, as well as point out the areas for which data is currently missing.
It covers 10 key topics: demographics, early childhood, education, employment, health and wellbeing, housing and transport, income and finance, NDIS supports, safety and justice, and social and community understanding.
